About Apostle John A. BennettApostle John A. Bennett, DD is Pastor and Founder of the Churches of the Apostolic Revival International. He began his divine service to the Lord at a young age in Washington, D.C. under the leadership of Bishop Gary Richardson at Prayer Temple. Apostle Bennett was shaped and molded by God into a man with spiritual insight and great leadership. Being an apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher, truly chosen by God, Apostle Bennett is carrying out the vision in reaching and transforming souls from all walks of life.
He has established and presently oversees Christian churches and evangelists in different cities. He was ordained to the bishopric at the 43rd Holy Convocation of Bible Way Church of our Lord Jesus Christ Worldwide in July 2000.
Apostle John A. Bennett is married to First Lady Alice Bennett who compliments her husband with devoted assistance in divine teaching and administering the word of God. In addition to his church ministry, Apostle Bennett also has a daily radio broadcast on WSRC, 1410 AM and a weekly television broadcast on Cable Channel 8. These outreaches have changed lives and brought souls into the ministry. He presently has Preaching, Teaching and Application Bible Study for the men and his wife, First Lady Alice Bennett, teaches the women every Sunday morning beginning with breakfast and following with; informing, equipping, imparting and empowering the saints to operate productively in the ministry, their lives, and communities.
Apostle Bennett was born and grew up in Washington, D.C. His parents are the late John A. Bennett, Sr. and living in Washington, D.C., his mom, Mother Melvina Middleton and stepfather, Mr. William Middleton. Apostle Bennett graduated from McKinley Technology High School in 1985. While growing up, he had experiences, overcame obstacles and tests that have equipped him to understand and help the needs of God’s people. He has a spiritual mission that prepares the underprivileged for progression in their lives and in the perfecting of the body of Christ. In 1985 (at that time) Minister Bennett, came to North Carolina Central University pursuing an education in Political Science. While there, he started the Worship, Praise and Inspiration Choir and founded Students for the Apostolic Revival (STAR) Bible organization on campus. He met his wife-to-be, Miss Alice Parker during a choir rehearsal. Their love grew and they were married September 26, 1992. The Lord called Minister Bennett into ministry in 1990 to make a difference for the people beginning in Durham, North Carolina. He continued to grow in the wisdom and anointing of the Lord. Other ministries like Second Chance Church Of Deliverance, seeing this asked to join him in his work for Christ. In 2004, Apostle Bennett received a Doctorate of Divinity from Victory School of Divinity of Los Angeles, California.
Apostle Bennett is a young man with a high calling on his life that is leading many young souls to Christ. He went from having services in the home of a friend and member, to an ever-increasing membership at the Church of the Apostolic Revival International in Durham, North Carolina. Apostle Bennett delivers clear messages of knowledge, wisdom and understanding to help pastors and leaders fully maximize their potential in God through their ministries. He is the founder and instructor of the Apostolic Bible Institute. Apostle Bennett is Pastor of the Shekinah Glory Church, Washington D.C. and overseer of Blessing Hope C.A.R., Snow Hill, North Carolina, Greater Yeshuwa Temple, Wallace, North Carolina, Second Chance Church of Deliverance, Raleigh, North Carolina, and New Generation Church, Raleigh, North Carolina. As Presider of Elokim Ministries, Apostle Bennett has established a movement that is committed to carrying the gospel around the world. He has moved through cities with the anointing of God severing members from gangs, having prayer rallies, receiving many accolades and awards, including the “Key to the City of Durham” (twice), was named “Honorary Councilman,” induction into the Who's Who of the religious society 2007 as one of the most influential preachers in the Washington DC area. Also, Apostle Bennett has received several citations from Ms. Elaine Marshall, secretary of the state of N.C. and was honored the proclamation of the first Saturday in October as “Bishop Bennett Day” by the City of Durham. Apostle John A. Bennett is truly a man after God’s own heart.
Apostle John A. Bennett, DD and First Lady Alice Bennett have five wonderful spiritually-filled children: John Jr. and Jasmine (twins), Joel, Joshua, and Joses.
